Upon completion of the "Japanese Basics" course you will be well equipped to further expand your language skills in the "Japanese for Travelers" course.
We will introduce you to the essential phrases and etiquette needed to make you both travel ready and socially aware. You will learn to communicate in a number of real-life situations. Note some of the areas we will cover below.

About Me.
It is with great pleasure that I am able to teach you about this beautiful country. Through the language you can truly grasp the richness of their culture as their language conveys an appreciation of nature, a deep respect for one another, and a humble spirit.
Let me just give you a little introduction to my own experiences in the corporate and educational settings in Japan. I lived in Japan for 10 years. I worked in the area of corporate training for 6 years, taught at an institute of foreign languages for a couple years, and was involved with educational missionary work for 2 years. I had the opportunity to live in both Osaka and Tokyo Japan. Each city has its own unique culture which I enjoyed immensely. Upon my return to the United States, I taught Japanese language at a community college for 8 years, and during this time also taught private lessons to businessmen and high school students. Below you will find my background details.
